150 questions · 150 marks · 3 hours · 1/4 mark deducted for every wrong answer · minimum 40% compulsory.

Questions are set at Secondary (Class 10) level and test general knowledge with specific reference to Rajasthan — everyday science, maths, social studies, geography, history, culture, art, basic animal husbandry and current affairs.

• Major human diseases, causes and diagnosis; waste management.

4. Major Current Events

• Issues related to sports, politics, economy, social, geographical, cultural, ecological and technical fields.
• State and national issues.

• State and national programmes and policies.

5. Maths

• HCF and LCM.
• Average.
• Profit and loss.
• Percentage.
• Simple interest.
• Compound interest.
• Ratio and proportion.

6. Animal Husbandry

This subject belongs to this recruitment alone — it appears in no other RSSB examination, and it is what really separates a prepared candidate from an unprepared one.

• Nutritive value of animal products, animal agriculture and poultry farming.
• Shepherds in the modern world.
