Rajasthan Lab Assistant Exam Pattern

यह पृष्ठ हिंदी में पढ़ें →

Laboratory Assistant (Prayogshala Sahayak) is recruited by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, Jaipur. The board's syllabus document actually covers three separate recruitments, each with its own scheme — check which one you are applying for before you plan.

1. Lab Assistant (Science) — Combined Direct Recruitment

Paper-II covers science at Secondary level, plus Biology, Physics and Chemistry at Senior Secondary level.

Rules that apply to all three

The notes are identical in all three notifications:

  • All questions in every paper are objective (multiple choice) and carry equal marks.
  • A minimum of 40 per cent is fixed as the qualifying mark. Candidates scoring below this are not eligible for appointment.
  • Negative marking : one-third (1/3) is deducted for every wrong answer.

Two things worth noticing

  • The 40% floor is not a formality. With one-third negative marking, guessing your way to a number is a real risk — a paper can fall below 40% even when it feels answered.
  • The Science recruitment has two papers of 200 marks each, while the two College Education posts have a single 300-mark paper split into two parts. The subject weightage is completely different, so use the right one.
