Rajasthan Vidyut Vibhag JEN 2026 Syllabus & Exam Pattern (RVUNL, RVPN, JVVNL, AVVNL & JdVVNL)

Common recruitment by RVUNL for five Rajasthan power companies — RVUNL, RVPN, JVVNL, AVVNL and JdVVNL. Complete RVUNL JEN 2026 exam pattern and syllabus. The CBT is 2 hours with Part-A carrying 60% (branch engineering) and Part-B 40% (Reasoning, Maths, GK, Science, Hindi, English). Includes branch-wise Part-A topics and the full Part-B syllabus.

Note: This is a common recruitment conducted by RVUNL for five Rajasthan power companies together — RVUNL (Utpadan), RVPN (Prasaran), JVVNL (Jaipur), AVVNL (Ajmer) and JdVVNL (Jodhpur). One application covers the posts as per the preference given in the form.

RVUNL JEN 2026 — Exam Pattern

The RVUNL Junior Engineer 2026 selection is a single Computer Based Test. There is no interview stage. The paper is split into two parts with a fixed weightage.

Marks & Question Breakdown

  • Part-A (Technical) — 60 questions, 120 marks (2 marks each)
  • Part-B (General Aptitude & General Studies) — 80 questions, 80 marks (1 mark each)
  • Negative marking: 0.25 mark for every wrong answer
  • Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT), objective type
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Question type: Objective, multiple choice
  • Negative marking: Applicable
  • Qualifying marks: 30% for General; 20% for SC / ST / OBC / MBC / EWS / PwBD

Part-B Syllabus — common to all branches (40%)

This section is the same for every branch, and it also forms the bulk of the paper for the non-technical posts in this recruitment.

  • Reasoning: analogies, series, coding-decoding, blood relations, direction sense, syllogism, seating arrangement, statement and conclusion, non-verbal reasoning
  • Mathematics: number system, percentage, ratio and proportion, average, profit and loss, simple and compound interest, time and work, time speed and distance, mensuration, data interpretation
  • General Knowledge: Rajasthan history, art and culture, geography and economy; Indian history, polity and constitution; Indian and world geography; current affairs of national, international and Rajasthan level
  • General Science: Physics, Chemistry and Biology up to secondary level; everyday science
  • Hindi: sandhi, samas, upsarg-pratyay, paryayvachi, vilom, muhavare, vakya shuddhi, apathit gadyansh
  • English: tenses, articles, prepositions, voice, narration, synonyms and antonyms, one word substitution, idioms and phrases, error detection, comprehension

How to prepare Part-B

Part-B is 40% of the JEN paper and is fully shared with the non-technical posts, so it is the highest-return section to start with.
